    When I first started trying to make an income on the Internet in 1996 I made the mistake of believing everything that I read. This had disasterous results. Very early on my upline started a mailing campaign from my computer andI son got bannedfrom that program for spamming! The net result was that I ceased to trust anybody. In 1996 a very persistent guy persuaded me to sign up for one-on-coaching at a cost of US$8,000. He sent me masses of printed material and I got 30 minutes of telephone coaching every week! After 5 months it became obvious that we were making zero progress so I stopped wasting any more time or money joining expensive affiliates with expensive products.
